Stalker.

If you keep up to date with the technology side of the fashion world, you may have heard of Stalkthis. Stalkthis launched at the end of 2012, and seems to be getting a lot of attention. I saw someone mention it on Twitter, so I checked it out.

Over the years, I've used a couple of similar services, but found none of them worked as well as I would have liked. Sometimes I wouldn't get alerts when the prices changed, I couldn't change the picture of the product, so would occasionally be stuck with a website banner instead of a product picture, which meant I had no idea what the product I was watching actually was.

With Stalkthis, you have a few different options. In regards to notifications of price drops, you can choose to be notified via email or sms. When 'stalking' a new product, you can choose at which price point you would like to receive a notification. By this, I mean that you can choose to be notified if the price drops at all, or alternatively, you can choose to select a maximum price. Read ahead as I try my darndest to explain what I mean...

You want those 3.1 Phillip Lim Draped Pocket Pants but refuse to pay $425 for them? If the maximum you're willing to pay is $350, then plug that into the appropriate field on the Stalkthis popup, and you will be notified if the price ever drops to or below $350 on that particular site. Handy! There is also an option for percentages - "that price is ridiculous, I'd buy it if it were half price though..." you can select 50% off from the drop-down list and you will be notified if it ever happens. That's just as good as stores calling you to say "Hey, that Rag & Bone dress you wanted is now 40% off! Hooray for you!"

To have access to this awesome service, all you need to do is signup for an account here or via Facebook by pressing the Register using Facebook button to the right on the signup page. You will then be asked to drag the Stalkthis button to your bookmarks bar. After you've done that, voilĂ ! Jump onto your favourite site, find an absurdly expensive bag and stalk it!

Anyway, one of the reasons I wanted to write this post was because of the reply I received after leaving feedback (which is very welcome, they are relatively new after all!)

Thanks for the great feedback, I hope you keep it coming - everything we hear from stalkers like you helps us make a better service. We definitely have Chrome and Firefox extensions on the roadmap, but it will probably be toward the end of the year. Thanks for making room for Stalkthis! We hope you share it with your friends.

Stalkers like me?? I laughed so hard at this, and kept opening it over and over just to read it and laugh. Obviously I had asked about the implementation of a Chrome extension at some point (I don't use the bookmarks bar, it's ugly - have made an exception for the Stalkthis button though!) and hopefully it will arrive by the end of the year.

Still not sure why I wrote this whole post just to eventually get to the funny part, but oh well! Check out Stalkthis, it's good fun for tightarses and people with shocking memories (me and me!) You can also follow me on Stalkthis here! Stalk my stalking... go on ;)

Hey, 2013. Didn't see you there.

Whaaaaaaaaat. Can't believe my last post was in November.

So much stuff has happened, you guys.

Christmas came and went.

We moved into a new (old) house.

We bought some large appliances for said house.

...

I think I may have purchased some beauty products in there somewhere?

That's about it, I think. Now you can understand why I haven't had time to blog! Been crazy-busy.

2013 is going too fast. I know everyone says that every year, but I am confident it's still actually 2012. Where did 2013 even come from?

Ooh! For the last few nights, I have been catching up on around 2000 blog posts I have missed over the last couple of months. It's fantastic.

To keep you entertained for the next 4.8 seconds, here is an adorable picture. It was the first result when I searched Google images for 'adorable picture', anyway. From here.

The One In Which I Return. For Now.

For the moment, most of the pictures are gone from my blog. I had an issue with my phone and the pictures were deleted off it, which in turn deleted the pictures from Picasa (where blogger pictures are hosted). I'll go through and try to get them back up. My blog looks a bit silly without them.

I've been gone for a few months. Having had nothing to post about, I thought it was fine to let the blog lay dormant for a while.

In other news - I got a haircut! I got about 30cm off, and my hair still goes down to my... "chestal area." Feels good!

In other, other news - I went out for dinner at some point this year. Here is what I wore:

I have several things to say about that photo.
1. That's not my bedroom.
2. The colours are off. The cardigan is a light grey, and the jeans are a lovely pastel blue. Shirt has gold satin peter pan collar.
3. I took the picture with the idea that I'd post it on my blog. I didn't actually believe I'd do it though, thus the dodgy mirror pic. This was taken a few months ago, but there you go; it's me! Having trouble pressing Publish though...
